Definitions:

"The Company" or "we" or "us"
These are defined as the owner of Geddesmill Lodges, Raitloan, Geddes, Nairn IV12 5SB

"Guest"
A guest is defined as any person or persons to have requested by email, telephone or online service (such as Air BnB) to place a booking for occupancy of property owned by The Company.

"Grounds"
Property and land owned by The Company.

 

By accessing and using the services of Geddesmill Lodges as a guest, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. Breach of this agreement may result in loss of any amounts paid.

If you do not agree to abide by these terms and conditions, please do not use this service.

 

Personal Infomation and Privacy

The Company will only collect personal information provided voluntarily via phone, email or letter to it's recognised contact information found on the lower section of the company homepage. If you choose to register as a guest, we ask you to provide limited personal information, such as your name, address, telephone number and/or email address. You may review and change your personal information by emailing the company recognised contact email address found on the lower section of the company homepage.

This information may be stored in both physical and electronic formats and any breach of security processes or lapse in information security of any kind will result in you being notified of such.

The Company may use your personal information within The Company to arrange contact with you, record your dates or arrival and departure as well as any specific requirements you may have during your stay among other ad-hoc uses.

The Company will not disclose any personal information to any third party (excluding our contractors to whom we may provide such information for the limited purpose of providing services to us and who are obligated to keep the information confidential), unless

(1) You have authorized us to do so;

(2) We are legally required to do so, for example, in response to a subpoena, court order or other legal processes.

 

Non-Discrimination Notice

The Company complies with applicable civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour national origin, age, disability, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or gender. The Company does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, colour, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or gender.

If you believe that any employee or third party of The Company has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of race, colour, national origin, age, disability, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or gender, you can file a grievance via company recognised contact email address found on the lower section of the company homepage. You can file a grievance in person or by mail or email. 

 

Deposit and Cancelation

Once a booking is confirmed by the owner, either in writing or via email/telephone, a deposit of 25% of the total cost is required to be paid within 7 days to hold this booking.

The total amount payable is to then be paid on arrival before you get access to your lodge. If you would prefer to pay before you arrive then please just let us know and we can discuss ways to do this with you.

If a guest cancels the booking within the first fourteen days from the date of the booking being confirmed. they will be refunded the full amount paid.

If the cancellation is made after fourteen days the deposit is non- refundable. We appreciate that circumstances can change however the owner should be notified of any cancellations in a timely manner to allow the opportunity for the lodge to be re-let.

 

Pets

One dog may be taken at no extra charge and must be kept on a lead whilst in the lodge grounds and your dog must not be left alone in/on the property. Failure to clean up after your dog within the grounds may result in additional costs for cleaning.

Please let us know at the time of booking if you will be bringing a dog.

 

Arrival and Departure

Guests may take occupation of their lodge on the day of arrival from 4pm, or at an earlier time/later time as agreed with the owner in advance.

The lodge must be vacated on the day of departure by 10am, or at a time mutually agreed with the owner either at time of booking or during their stay.

 

Damage and Injury Responsibility

All personal items, including but not restricted to, clothing, mobile phones, cameras, laptops etc, are the responsibility of the guests. The owner cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings.  However if found on the property, during or after your stay, we will do our best to return them to you.

All vehicles are the responsibility of the guests and the owner cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage caused whilst on the owners' property.

All due care must be taken within the property, and of the contents in the property. Any damage caused will be charged for at cost for replacement or repair.

Please note, guests make use of the grounds at their own risk and the owner cannot accept responsibility for any injuries or accidents that may occur whilst making use of these areas.

 

Safety

There must be NO Naked Flames used within the property, e.g Candles

The electric heaters within the property must never be covered or used for drying clothes.

The television and other equipment must not be interfered with, and no equipment belonging to guests should be connected to it, e.g Games Consoles.

 

Grounds and Privacy

All guests are more than welcome to make use of the gardens and surrounding grounds on the property, bearing in mind to be respectful of other guests and the owner who may also be using them. 

Please note : The land on the opposite side of the burn, behind Burnside Lodge, is the property of Cawdor Estate and while access is not restricted to this area by fencing or barriers, and guests may explore there should they wish at their own risk, guests must not cause any damage to any part of the land or trees in this area.
